Purposeful and Meaningful Life
What is Life About?

"When I woke up this morning in bed I asked myself:
what is Life about? I found the answer in my very room:
The Fan said: "Be cool".
The Roof said: "Aim high."
The Window said:Â "See the World"
The Clock said: "Every minute is precious"
The Mirror said: "Reflect before you act".
The Calendar said: "Be up to date"
The Door said: "Push hard for your goals"
The Carpet said: "Kneel down and  give thanks"

PURPOSEFUL LIFE - - saying yes to the day. We are like a racehorse in the starting gate without a jockey, if we don’t have a goal. Finding yours is a lifetime job. Allowing for changes in direction, in fortune and in situations, then piloting your course, are skills we can learn. Self knowledge grows with experience, and goals may change. But upward direction doesn’t. Seek to improve in some way every day.
Many of us ignore our own inner desires and make choices based on what other people in our lives or within our larger social circle (or even society at large) believes is best for us. We often follow their lead because the feeling of being accepted by these outside influencers is a force that knowingly (or unknowingly) often drives the decisions we make.
Whether it be a parent, a spouse or a friend, they are not you and they may not be aware (nor even care about) your secret or hidden desires. When we follow opinions of others of how we should be living our lives instead of listening to our own inner longings, we may become depressed, stressed, feeling stuck in a dead-end situation or even the experiencing the feeling that we have lost our way to our own heart’s desires. However, when we are true to ourselves, and pursue our own inner hunger, it can create a wonderful sense of wellbeing and fulfillment because of the purpose and meaning it brings into our lives.
